Your photos stay yours.
Sortr was built copy-first and private by default. Here is exactly what happens to your library.
Your iCloud is never touched.
Sortr never connects to iCloud. It moves the photos you downloaded into your new folders, so nothing is left behind and no space is wasted. A photo only leaves its old folder once its new copy is checked as complete. If you pick the folder iCloud keeps in sync, Sortr only copies from it, so nothing changes in iCloud or on your iPhone.
Your Apple password stays home.
You get your photos onto your computer with Apple’s own apps. Sortr never sees your Apple Account or password.
Processed, never viewed.
Sortr sends the AI a small preview, gets back a folder and a name, and keeps nothing.
No AI account needed.
The AI is included in the price. You never need an OpenAI account, a key or a bill of your own.
Unsure photos aren’t guessed.
When the AI isn’t confident, the photo goes in a Review folder. Nothing for you to check; look whenever you like.
